This Door/Security Guards Training Course is not just an attend course, students are required to take part in practical work, theoretical work and also home studies to successfully complete the course which will be assessed at the end by experienced assessors.

Course Description

This course is aimed at those who work in the field of security services in roles such as civil enforcement, community warden schemes, parking control, door supervision and retail guarding. The candidate is required to complete all five mandatory units and three optional units.

Course Syllabus

Minimise and respond to health and safety risks in your workplace
Communicate effectively in the workplace
Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
Control security incidents
Produce documents manually
Control entry to and exit from premises
Carry out searches of people and their property for unauthorised items
Provide security at licensed venues
Carry out searches of vehicles for unauthorised items

Arrest people suspected of committing an offence
Deal with disorderly and aggressive behaviour
Monitor areas using CCTV systems
Maintain CCTV video tape libraries and preserve potential evidence
Maintain the operational performance of CCTV systems
Provide covert security in retail environments
Detect loss and theft in retail environments
Prevent unauthorised items passing through passenger ports
Present evidence in court and at other hearings

All students will be issued a certificate on completion of passing the Door/Security Guards Training Course.
